A little about the Gallery... |
|
|
The Gliding Bird gallery specializes in 20th century American printmaking and photography. Our gallery displays a range of photographic styles from large format black and white natural lanscape to 35mm color "social landscapes", and an equally diverse group of American prints.
Our welcoming and knowledgeable staff is prepared to help both the seasoned art connoisseur and also those who may be new to the world of art collecting. Although some of the works we sell are by artists of intenational reputation, the atmosphere at Gliding Bird is always welcoming and warm, with a genuine love of art and expression.
In the beginning...
The gallery was started by artist Chris Shells and his wife Jessica, and is now managed by Chris and Jessica's daughter, Claire Shells, who grew up immersed in art, and the artists who create it.
Located in Columbus, Ohio, a visit to our gallery will also bring you close to excellent live theatre, music, fine art, education and retreat opportunities—all alongside the natural beauty of the Scioto river.
Gliding Bird gallery is open daily from mid-May through October. |
